A fire continues in the Sofielund waste dump in Huddinge, south of Stockholm. The fire broke out in a pile of wood chips Saturday, and has proven to be difficult to put out.

Kaj Broberg of the Södertorn fire station says they expect it to take at least another day to quench the blaze.

Meanwhile, a fire in Malmö harbour is sending smoke across the city. The local rescue services are calling on people who may be affected by smoke to stay indoors.

The fire broke out in an auto repair garage, and the Martin Gertsson of regional rescue services tells the TT news agency they are focusing on keeping the flames from spreading to other buildings in the area.
