Family wake up to boa constrictor snake in apartment

Published lördag 13 juli 2013 kl 14.14

A family in northern Sweden found a boa constrictor snake in their apartment on Saturday morning, news agency TT reports. "They were quite upset and ran out to call the police from a neighbour's house," said Mikael Abramsson with the Jämtland police.

Police arrived, caught the snake and eventually returned it to its owner, the former tenant in the apartment who moved out a few weeks ago. "The snake had disappeared around the time of the move, so they were aware that the snake might be there," said Abramsson.

Police said no crime has been committed.
