Alfredsson headhunted for Anthony Hopkins film
Swedish director Daniel Alfredsson has told Swedish Radio he will be making a new film with Anthony Hopkins as lead actor. "The Kidnapping of Freddy Heineken" is set in the 1980s and tells the tale of four working class teenagers decide to kidnap the owner of the Dutch beer brewery.
Alfredsson, the older brother of fellow film director Tomas, was headhunted for the US production.
"It's not that I'm going to Hollywood. Hollywood is coming to me," Alfredsson says. "Anthony Hopkins will play the role of Freddy Heineken. It feels exciting and fun that he wants to play around with me."
