Former Abba star Agnetha Fältskog is to appear on stage at Stockholm Pride next week, but the singer will not be performing, according to a press release.

Fältskog, who recently made a come-back with the album "A", will take to the stage next Thursday, where she will be awarded a gold record for her latest recording.

"We are incredibly honored to have the music icon Agnetha Fältskog from ABBA attend the Stockholm Gay Pride Festival to receive the audience's cheers and love. It will be a unique opportunity for the Stockholm Pride audience to pay tribute to Agnetha Fältskog," festival director Jörgen Eriksson writes.

Stockholm Pride starts this weekend with a series of seminars, events and festivities around the city, culminating with the Pride March through the city centre Saturday 3rd August.
