Higher danger status for Ebola
The Swedish government has now classified ebola as a "public health hazard," a status which gives public authorities more power to fight contagion.
If an infected person were to arrive to Sweden on a flight, the authorities can now hold other passengers in order to inform them about the disease and the way it is transmitted.
Ebola had been previously included in the category "dangerous diseases, but The National Board of Health and Welfare requested last week that it be upgraded. The risk that someone in Sweden will be infected is still considered low.
