YouTube tops Swedish online streaming charts
Interest in streaming video is growing in Sweden. Mediavision reports that topping the market here is YouTube, which had 1.3 million daily viewers in Sweden during the third quarter of the year.
In terms of total minutes, YouTube attracted 25 percent of all online television viewing in Sweden.
Public broadcaster Swedish Television attracts 13 percent of Internet TV viewing here, compared to a 30 percent share of over-the-air viewing.
The rest of the online TV market is shared among Swedish services like TV4, MTG, and SBS Discovery and international competitors Netflix and HBO Nordic.
