The youth wing of the conservative Moderate Party wants Anna Kinberg Batra as the next leader of their party.

The Moderate group leader is already the front-runner for the position, after her closest rival recently bowed out of the race.

Youth leader Erik Bengtzboe says to Swedish Radio News that Batra is the best choice to develop the party. The Moderates were the leading member of the governing coalition until September's election, when they lost a major chunk of support and went into opposition.

Erik Bengtzboe says the party needs to renew itself, and calls for the executive board to step down if they are not prepared to make reforms.
