Workers in an enclosed industrial area in Norrköping found a shell-like object on Monday, which police later determined to be not dangerous.

The shell was found among earth dumped onto a plot of land in an industrial area, according to news agency TT.

The police bomb squad was reported to be on their way to the site during the late afternoon, and the area has been roped off. But in the evening, police stated that the object was not dangerous.

"It's just a shell," said Thomas Agnevik, a press spokesperson with the Östergötland police, to TT. "There were no explosives inside," he said.
