Three Swedish IS fighters killed in Syria
Three Swedes who fought for the extremist group Islamic State (IS) have been killed in Syria, reports tabloid Expressen.
The men, who were in their 20s and came from Gothenburg and Stockholm, died after US air strikes on the town of Kobane at the weekend, said the newspaper, which had spoken to another Swedish IS fighter.
One of the men, who had been in Syria for two and a half years, was killed on the frontline together with one of the other two men. The third died from injuries sustained in another attack.
The Swedish Foreign Ministry said it had not received any information about the deaths but it was always difficult to receive information from the troubled area.
