A house for sale in the Kalmar area of Sweden has broken a record for most hits on the real estate website Hemnet - thanks to its science fiction inspired interior design. Now it's been sold to a young family that wants to change the monster house back into a "normal" home.

The cost of the house is secret but the estate agent says that it went for more than the asking price of SEK 2.375 million.

"The seller is really pleased that it has gone so quickly," says estate agent Alex Sundstedt to tabloid  aftonbladet.se.

Parts of the house have been inspired by the ”Alien vs. Predator” films as you can see from the photos above. The photos of the house on Hemnet received 150.000 hits on the first day of viewing, which is a record for an opening day on Hemnet.
