The prosecutor has abandoned the case against three men suspected of killing former sex club owner Mille Markovic in January 2013.

Expressen has learned the prosecutor is closing the case against the men. As early as last June the prosecutor was not able to convince a court to hold the three suspects.

Defence lawyer Sargon de Bass says the decision is expected, since the case was "a hypothesis" based on the suspects mobile phones linking to a mast in the vicinity.

Mille Markovic, 52, was linked to organised crime, and made national headlines in 2010 when he claimed to have pictures of the Swedish king visiting his club. A picture he displayed was proven to be false.
