Explosion rocks Malmö courthouse
An explosion outside of a courthouse in the southern Swedish city of Malmö caused major damage to the entrance of the building and minor damage to nearby properties, police said on Monday.
The explosion happened late Sunday night, just before midnight destroying the entrance of the district court. No serious injuries have been reported, but one person received minor cuts from glass fragments, police said.
Windows from several buildings nearby were broken by the blast, which was heard over large parts of the city. No arrests have been made in connection with the explosion.
The judicial center in Malmö is the office for the police, the state prosecution, the Economic Crimes Bureau and the district court. There was also an explosion in the same place on February 3 earlier this year, damaging the facade of the building.
