The head of the Swedish Pirate Party Anna Troberg is stepping down from her position.

Troberg said that she is dissatisfied with the way the party has evolved, Swedish Radio reported. She believes the party has showed signs of homophobia.

"The party's basic ideas are good, but if it is not based on the fact that all people are equal, then the party has a dark future," says Troberg.

No date has yet been set to elect new leadership.
