The Greens have abandoned hopes of stopping a major road project, the Stockholm bypass. 

The Social Democrats have also dropped a key election promise on creating trainee jobs. Why are they doing this?

Radio Sweden spoke to professor Jonas Hinnfors from the department of political sciences at the University of Gothenburg, who explains the reasoning behind these decisions to back down on previous proposals.
