State may take back railway maintenance
The current red-green government will investigate the possibilities of the state retaking control of railway maintenance, Infrastructure Minister Anna Johansson (Social Democrat) said in a press conference Friday.
Johansson lamented that the rejection of the government's budget put a halt to the proposed SEK 1.24 billion allocation to Railways.
But despite the failed budget, the government still wants to revise the organizational structure of railway maintenance.
The investigation will issue a report in March 2015, according to Johansson.
