Sweden won bronze in the women's European Handball Championships Sunday, beating Montenegro in a tight match 25 - 23.

The Swedish team almost always had the upper hand in the match, but they were unable to extend their lead and pull away, with the Montenegrin side always a threat. Swedish goalie Johanna Bundsen saved a penalty with around 20 seconds left of the match, making it impossible for their rivals to catch up and guaranteeing a Swedish medal in the championships, held in Hungary.
