Motorists in Sweden are being urged to exercise caution because of slippery road conditions. According to the Swedish Transportation Administration, roads throughout all of central Sweden could be slippery, with the southerly roads getting icier as the day progresses, and the northerly roads becoming slippery with snow.

Lovisa Andersson, a meteorologist with the Swedish weather service SMHI, tells news agency TT that people should keep in mind that if the weather is cold and clear, temperatures can drop quickly. This situation can then create road hazards.
