Some 15,000 households in Lund have their electricity back, after an outage that lasted several hours Saturday.

The power company Kraftringen says the fault was in a transformer, which in turn took down other transformers as they became overloaded.

Many stores and a major shopping center were blacked out as well as households.

The power went off around 10:00 AM Saturday morning, and service had been restored to virtually all affected customers by around 3:00 PM.

Besides electricity, the outage also took out broadband and cable-TV services.
