Motorists cautioned to beware of slippery conditions

Published onsdag 7 januari 2015 kl 13.27

The Swedish Transport Administration is advising drivers to take care and stick to the speed limit, as many of the roads throughout the country are slippery because of snow, ice or frost.

Several traffic accidents have already resulted from the conditions - a car was overturned in Arboga, and in Örebro, two people were taken to the emergency room.

"It's rained in southern Sweden and snow has fallen in most of the country. Tomorrow, more rain and snow is expected, which can make a mess of traffic," says Swedish Television's meteorologist, Nils Holmqvist.
