Plans for another wolf hunt have been stopped, this time in Dalarna county, after a decision from the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency, reports news agency TT.

In a press release, the Swedish EPA writes that the county administrative board's decision to allow the wolf hunt did not fulfill all the necessary criteria for a licensed hunt, including that the goal of the hunt was not clear enough.

The hunting association is currently appealing a court decision to prevent wolf hunts in Värmland and Örebro, which the EPA had approved, and that were scheduled to take place on Friday.
