Frida Hansdotter wins World Cup slalom event
Sweden’s Frida Hansdotter won the World Cup slalom in Flachau, Austria Tuesday, strengthening her position at the top of the standings going into next week’s World Championships.
Her combined time of 1 minute 49.59 seconds was 0.61 seconds ahead of second plane Tina Maze of Slovenia.
It was the Swede’s 14th career World Cup placing in the top three, but only her second victory. She now has 420 points in the slalom standings, with Mikaela Shiffrin of the United States second with 379 Points.
