Student loan agency doubles its late payment penalty
Those who have student loans will need to pay more than double the penalty fee. The National Board of Student Aid is raising its late payment penalty from 200 kronor to 450.
There are currently 1.5 million Swedes with student loans offered through the board, and they have on average about SEK 132,000 of principal, according to news agency TT. A representative from the board told the news agency that if someone has difficulty paying their study loan bills, they can always contact the board to change their payment plan.
