Swedish chef Tommy Myllymäki won a bronze medal in the Bocuse d'Or world cooking championships Wednesday in Lyon, France.

The championships take place every two years and four years ago Myllymäki won a silver medal there.

This year Norway's Ørjan Johannessen won the gold, even though Myllymäki was the favorite after winning the European championship last year.

There were 24 of the best cooks from around the world cooking over the two days of the competition. Myllymäki cooked for about five and a half hours before presenting his dishes to the jury on Wednesday.
