Economist: Stockholm fourth safest city
Stockholm is the fourth safest city in the world, according to the Economist's annual Safe Cities Index.
The Swedish capital was topped only by Tokyo, Singapore and Osaka, newspaper Svenska Dagbladet reports.
The index is composed of categories ranging from healthcare and infrastructure to personal and digital safety.
Stockholm ranked as the second most democratic country out of the close to 140 countries in the index, but the expensive Scandinavian capital was dragged down by a low ranking in the cost of living category.
