Elderly people could benefit from taking small doses of anabolic steroids, that's according to scientists at Luleå University of Technology.

The team of scientists claim that seniors who use steroids could gain muscle, increase their sex drive and get a boost of energy. It could also help reduce the number of slip and fall accidents among the elderly, news agency TT reports.

The team of scientists from Luleå plan to further study the long-term effects of steroid use among the elderly, and possibly get the Swedish Medical Products Agency to approve the drug.
