The past year, several coconuts have gotten stuck in an underwater fence in the river Ätran in southwestern Sweden. The coconuts have mystified locals, but now it looks like the mystery has finally been solved.

It turns out that a man and a young boy have dropped between four and five coconuts from a bridge every other Saturday as part of a hindu ritual, local newspaper Ulricehamns tidning reports.

The mystery was unravelled when a man approached the two men because he thought they were dumping garbage in the river.
