Swedish Radio News apologized Tuesday evening for an inappropriate question asked to the Israeli ambassador during an interview that afternoon.

The ambassador was talking about growing anti-Semitism and was asked a question about how might Jews bear some responsibility.

News chiefs Anne Lagercrantz and Klas Wolf-Watz and producer Magnus Westberg wrote an apology:

"We unreservedly ask to apologize for the question. It is misleading and blames both individuals and a vulnerable group. The Jewish community has experienced horrific terror and has all of our sympathy and condolences."

They also said that they have taken the rare step to remove the clip from their repeat of the programs and from the archives, in order to prevent further spreading of the audio.
