With temperatures below freezing through-out the country, the Swedish Transport Administration is warning that there can be slippery road conditions from north to south.

Weather forecast

“Temperatures are below zero in the entire country and that means Winter road surfaces and a risk for skids,” says Danny Josefsson, of the agency’s press department. “This is especially true in the eastern parts of the country, since we are experiencing winds from the east, with snow fall as a result.”

There have been accidents around the country during the weekend. Three people died outside Vingåker in a collision believed to have been caused by a skidding car.
