In Helsinki, Sweden has advanced to the semi-finals of the World Junior Hockey Championships for the tenth year in a row, overwheming Slovakia in their quarter-final Saturday 6-0.

In Monday's semi-final the junior Swedes will face Nordic neighbor Finland, who narrowly defeated Canada 6-5.

But the Swedes will have to do without forward William Nylander who was injured in the head by a hard tackle in the opening match against Switzerland.

The other semi-final will see the United States square off against Russia.
