This morning, red paint and images of explosions and collapsed buildings were found outside the conference centre in Karlstad where the Green Party is convening today.

The entrance to the Karlstad Congress Culture Centre, (CCC), was sabotaged the night before the conference.

“There’s something that looks like paint at the entrance to CCC, and also pictures of collapsed buildings and explosions. The images have been sent off for forensic investigations, and the area has now been cleaned up,” Morgan Connedal, Officer in Charge at the Värmland county police told Swedish Television News.

The crime has been classified by the police as "threat against a group." Police officers will be present at the conference today, but the Officer in Charge would not say whether reinforcements had been made to the police force due to the sabotage.

“We can’t say whether the threat is aimed specifically at the Green Party, but we suspect so since this happened ahead of the conference,” Connedal said.
