A researcher at the Swedish Institute of International Affairs says the Russian-German pipeline is a bad economic and political deal for Sweden.

While in Sweden on 25 August, US Vice President Joe Biden stated firmly that the Nord Stream 2 pipeline from Russia to Germany is a bad deal for Europe.

This gas pipeline would pass through Swedish waters, near the island of Gotland.

Researcher Anke Schmidt-Felzmann at the Swedish Institute of International Affairs told Radio Sweden that the pipeline, which would bypass Ukraine and Poland and bring Russian gas directly to Germany, is a bad deal in political, economic and technical terms.
