It's day one of the Rio 2016 Paralympics with Team Sweden aiming to eclipse its haul of 12 medals in London.

Sweden, which has 58 participants competing in 15 different sports, boasts the multiple Paralympic champion Jonas Jacobsson. The Swedish shooting star is one of the favourites in Brazil as he hunts an 18th gold medal at his 10th consecutive games.

Margareta Israelsson, chair of the Swedish Paralympic committee, tells Radio Sweden about Wednesday night's opening ceremony and the prospects of sporting success in the days ahead.
