Bob Dylan to perform in Sweden in April

He skipped the Nobel Prize ceremony at the weekend but 2016's Literature laureate Bob Dylan will be in Sweden in April to play three shows.

The 75-year-old will perform two concerts at Waterfront in Stockholm on April 1 and 2 with a concert at Sparbanken Skåne Arena in Lund on April 9.

The his speech was read out on his behalf on Saturday by the US ambassador to Sweden Azita Raji.  

Rock legend Parri Smith,69, later sung a version of Dylan's ”A hard rain's a-gonna fall”.

The last time he played in Sweden was in 2015.

The singer must still give his Nobel lecture within six months of Saturday's ceremony in order to receive his prize.
