It took ten minutes to write but 25 years after it was released as a flexidesk, "Juligen" by hip-hop artists Just D is a Swedish Christmas classic.

The cheery song with its dark lyrics about Christmas has been in the top ten festive songs in Sweden every year since its release in December 1991.

William "Doktor C" Crafoord and Gustave "Gurra G" Lund, along with the third member of Just D, Peder Ernerot, were Swedish pioneers in hip-hop in the early 90's when Juligen became a smash hit.

The band, who made a comeback album last autumn and now host a regular podcast tell Radio Sweden about their feelings about the song and the reasons for its enduring succss.
