The Young Left, the Sweden Democrats’ Young Swedes, and Sweden’s Young Muslims will no longer receive state funding.

The Swedish Agency for Youth and Civil Society announced its decision on Monday.

The agency cites the Young Left's mishandling of funds for the loss of its state aid.

Both Sweden’s Young Muslims and the Sweden Democrats’ Young Swedes have created platforms that do not respect and promote the ideals of democracy according to the agency’s decision.

“I guess the agency felt the pressure from other organizations and left-wing commentators, and then felt that they had to reject our application,” said Jessica Ohlson from the Young Swedes.
