Pupils witness school employee gunned down

Police in Gothenburg are hunting two armed gunmen who opened fire on a man close to a school in the Lövgärdet area of the city this morning.

Several school children saw the fatal shooting of the man, who was employed at the school.

According to the police, the man was shot dead sitting in a car by two masked men at around 9am.

The victim has been identified as 30 years old, who lived in the area and worked at Lövgärdes school, close to the shooting.

"During the morning, all pupils have been informed of what has happened.Those students in need of counselling have been offfered it," Gothenburg City Council writes on its website.

All 380 students at the school were kept inside the building today while police carry out their investigation.

Three suspects wanted by the police are said to have escaped in a blue Renault Clio.
