Universities and colleges across Sweden will send out offers for the autumn term to 269,291 people today.

According to the Swedish Council for Higher Education (UHR), this is an increase of 0.5 percent on last year.

Among the offer-holders, 62 percent are women and 38 percent are men.

This autumn, there were 352,718 applicants to higher education courses – down from last year's 360,011.

The results will be published on antagning.se and offer-holders will have until 28 July to respond.

Applicants on the reserve list find out whether they have made it after the second selection round, on 3 August.
