Majority Of Swedes Happy To Become Donors
A majority of Swedes say they’re in favour of donating their organs when they die. But only half have actually expressed their wishes to anyone, according to figures from a Sifo poll.
It means that in practice, the responsibility for making a decision often falls to the relatives, with most deciding against a donation.
Of the one thousand people questioned, 86 percent said they were in favour of donating their organs. Today over 600 Swedes are waiting for transplants.
