World Bank President Paul Wolfowitz said on Friday that he was encouraged by signals coming from the World Trade Organization ahead of a conference in Hong Kong to resolve the Doha round of trade talks.

Speaking to reporters during a short stay in Stockholm, he said he was happy not to be in Pascal Lamy’s shoes, calling the WTO chief’s task ahead of the conference ”complicated.”
