Bodies on a Thai beach after the tsunami

The body of a Swedish tsunami victim has been exhumed from the graveyard in Thailand where she was mistakenly buried.

According to Thai officials, the body had been erroneously claimed by a Thai family shortly after the disaster. The mistake was later discovered by DNA tests. The Thai police say this is the first case of its kind after the December 26th disaster.

Friday this week sees the first of two Swedish memorial services in Thailand for victims of the tsunami. 543 Swedes died in the disaster.
