Tsunami Victim Memorial in Thailand

Published fredag 4 november 2005 kl 11.09
Church of Sweden minister Pether Broman prepares for the memorial

The first of several memorial services for the Swedish victims of the Asian tsuanami is being held in Thailand Friday, which is All Saints Eve in this country.

A second ceremony will be held next Friday, and a third on December 26th, one year after the disaster.

Tens of thousands of Swedes were vacationing in the area during the Christmas holidays last year. More than 500 Swedes are officially listed as dead, while 25 are still missing.
