Police Deal with Drunken Moose

Published tisdag 8 november 2005 kl 11.48
(This moose is not one of those mentioned in the story)

Police in southern Sweden had to deal last weekend with a couple of drunks who were disturbing a home for the elderly.

Unfortunately the drunks in question were a pair of moose.

According to reports the two, a mother and her calf, became intoxicated by eating overly ripe apples, which had fermented.

The police managed to drive the pair away from the home, but when they came back later looking for more, a hunting dog was needed to finally chase off the boozy beasts.

The local police chief has rejected calls for a special hunt, saying all that is needed to prevent similar occurrences would be to pick the apples from outside the home.
