Mad Rush At H & M For McCartney Designer Clothes
Fashion lovers with an eye for a bargain besieged stores of the Swedish cut price clothing giant H and M on Thursday.
The reason, a new collection by designer and beatles daughter Stella McCartney, who’s following in the footsteps of Karl Lagerfeld, the German designer, who teamed up with H and M last autumn to give the ordinary man and woman on the street the chance to buy designer clothes at affordable prices.
Just like Lagerfeld last year, McCartney’s creations flew off the racks with women queuing up before opening time at a number of its stores.
The advertising campaign for the collection though was marked by controversy with Supermodel Kate Moss, initially hired to be the face of the McCartney designs, was fired after a british tabloid produced photographs of her taking cocaine. Moss has since returned from a spell in rehab.
