Swedish Terror Suspect Had White House Photos

Published fredag 11 november 2005 kl 12.29
Police press conference after Danish arrests

It’s been reported that a Swede being held for terrorism in Bosnia had pictures of the White House in his computer.

The Swede was arrested in Sarajevo last month, in an operation that involved raids on two houses which yielded weapons and explosives. Police sources there say the suspect is an Islamist who under the code name Maximus has used the Internet from Sweden to recruit fighters to go to Iraq.

The Danish police are investigating a possible link with a group of seven young Moslems arrested there under suspicion of planning terrorist attacks. The “Sunday Times” has reported that Maximus has also been in contact with three men arrested in Britain for planning terrorism.
