Ending Oil Dependence

Published fredag 25 november 2005 kl 11.02

Swedish Prime Minister Göran Persson announced Thursday the creation of a commission to find ways to end this country’s dependence on oil by the year 2020.

The eight member committee consists of business executives, energy experts, and university professors, among them the CEO of Volvo Trucks. The government announced in early October its ambitious plans to end fossil fuel dependency.

Working together with Prime Minister Persson, the committee is to present its first report during the first half of next year.
