Swedes Remember Olof Palme
Tuesday marks the twentieth anniversary of the murder of Swedish Prime Minister Olof Palme.
There have been many visitors to his grave at a churchyard in central Stockholm, with many red roses and candles placed there by early morning. More roses have been placed on the spot where he was shot down, just a few blocks away.
Following a public television documentary Sunday, the police say they will re-question some witnesses. The documentary presented new evidence against Christer Petersson, the ex-convict whose conviction for Palme’s death was overturned by an appeals court.
He died a year and a half ago.
