Ericsson to supply mobile network to Japanese operator
Swedish telecom firm Eriksson is to be the primary supplier of the new 3G network for the Japanese Operator emobile.
Ericsson has not revealed the value of the order but the company’s press office told news agencies that it’s ”very big.”
In the long term, the 3G network will cover the whole of Japan. Ericsson said eMobile, a subsidiary of eAccess, plans to begin offering its services in March 2007.
”We are honored to be the prime partner in the creation of a new, leading operator in Japan, the most advanced and quality-driven market in the world,” said Ericsson Chief Executive Carl-Henric Svanberg.
