New Discrimination Law Put to Test

Published tisdag 28 mars 2006 kl 13.18

In Malmö today a case of ethnic discrimination against a bar begins.

Almost one and a half years ago Iranian Yasser Kalhari claims that he and his friends were not let into the bar because they were foreigners.

They were told that they were not on the guest list but Kalhari was not convinced that this was the reason they were turned away.

This case is among several other similar cases which are on the way to the courts.

The Malmö case puts the new discrimination law here to the test for the first time.
