Retail Sales Up 7.7%
Retail sales in Sweden rose 7.7 percent year-on-year in February, maintaining strong growth but coming in lower than market expectations. But economists see no reason to change their expectations for further monetary tightening in Sweden.
Sweden’s economy has been growing strongly over the last year with domestic demand underpinning a buoyant export market. The economy expanded by 2.7 percent last year and is seen picking up further speed this year.
