Published onsdag 29 mars 2006 kl 10.21

The first Stockholm Prize in Criminology has been awarded to John Braithwaite of the Australian National University and Friedrich Lösel of Britain’s Cambridge University.

They’ve been honored with the 125,000 dollar award for their achievements in developing theory and evidence on the prevention of repeat offending.

The prize was established last year, to reward achievements in criminological research or its application to reduce crime and advance human rights.
